Kitty!

Coming home from watching a movie, a kitty cat followed Ken and I from the bus stop all the way to our house! It's not just a hop, skip, and jump away, we're talking about walking for 15 minutes minimum. We're going to keep it so that it'll eat up all the lizards that we have in the house.

Ke~kiga arunda!

It was a good day yesterday. Mostly saturdays is a day for me to unwind from all the drudgery of ground training. I love the subjects that we learn, but a crash course in aviation can get tiring sometimes. There'll be more time for me to bitch about classes.

The day was started with me having to pee in a cup, get shot at by electromagnetic particles and squinting at tiny numbers held an arms length away. The medical checkup for an Australian Visa isn't as thorough as the medical checkup to get this job. I didn't have to strip naked and cough while someone cradled my gonads.

The whole course went through the checkup quite fast, after a couple of hours some colleagues and I were out on the streets heading to the Creative fair, where you can get audio equipment by Creative at a fairly reduced price. When we reached there, we instantly noticed this long line that stretched round the building. Apparently it's the line for the "Star Buys" deal, where you can get quite attractive, limited numbers being sold, items for half price. As the doors opened at 1100, we had to get in another line to get in. The hall was neatly organized with lots of room to walk about. Different gadgets had different booths. Since it was my birthday, I bought myself a 5 gig mp3 player. The zen micro. Kinda cool this gadget, I've sucessfully run its 12 hour lasting battery down a few times in the past couple of days. Played around with it the whole afternoon like a monkey getting a shiny new play thing.

Sometime during playing with the zen micro i fell asleep, woke up remembering that i washed some clothes and went out to hang it. The sun was already low in the sky. After I finished the chore I walked in and sat to watch my housemates play wrestling on the PS2. One of em, Ken, turned off the lights and a couple of my friends Maher and Alex walked in with a lit up cake! The others, Suresh, Timmy, and Sau Yong, started to sing "happy birthday"....It's been a long time since I've had a birthday cake....

After the small mess fest, they dragged me out to go clubbing. We ended up at One Night Stand, a nice club that has a pretty good live band that plays til 2. Initially, I just wanted to go out and have a few drinks and a chat, ended up dancing the night away. Had a load of fun! Even met some new people there.

Afterwards, in Kunal's car, we went to a McD to have supper. Reached home at 5.

Woke up at 8 to go library to study, then rollerbladed by the beach. I enjoy my weekends so much.

Once Again

It's been awhile since I've updated my friends on what I've been doing, and what I've experienced. Another year has passed for me, for my birthdate has passed once again. Since my last attempt at writing and blogging, I've worked in oil fields onshore and offshore, I've explored the natural offerings of Borneo, I've been left by my girlfriend of six years, changed my career from engineer to pilot, and am now undergoing training to become an air passenger pilot for a leading carrier in the world. I write these down so that I'll remember that, these past couple of years has passed by full of memories, and experiences that teaches, made me grow, and know where I want to head to in this life of mine.
